  2. #11- I think Mae Jemison gave it all she had, because she had academic humility which was many of the attributes of a scholar. For instance, she tried very hard in school and had many exciting goals. Although many people did not support her, she still had dreams, and she prevailed. I think she is a very good example for this theme, because she "gave it all she's got" by loving everything she's done and by being a great role model. Mae Jemison was a great person.

Mae Jemison was a good example because she first wnated to be a sicetist then went to Stanford and, became a doctor but, after awhile NASA chose Mae to join with them and on 1992 Mae Jemison was the first African-American women to go up in space. In all the things she did she gave all of what she had

  7. 18/I think she gave it all she had. She never stopped, she kept on going. She had a good life and accomplished more than the average person. If any one saw that she could not do that than they where so wrong. She did all the things she wanted to do when she was young. Give It All You've Got is a great theme for her.

Mae Jemison was giving it all she had because she never let anybody stop her from what she wanted to do. Even as a young child she wasn't discouraged by anyone. In kindergarden, Mae said she wanted to be a scientist and her teacher said "Don't you mean a nurse?" People didn't think that women could be scientists. They only thought they could be a nurse, a teacher, or a mother. Mae Jemison is a great example because she gave it all she had to become what she wanted to be. She never stopped, she just kept on going with her life. She became the best she could be. When she graduated from Stanford University, she went to Cornell University Medical College. After that she just did more and more. She was determined to do what she wanted to do and she did.

I think that she gave all she got in a way that surprises me. She had goals that she wanted to reached with a moto " don't be limited by other's limited imaginations." I think that's a great moto. I might even use it myself. I think that that she and her story is a great example becausse she gave all she got by not stopping, but keep on going to follow her dreams and make it true. Examples: when her kindergarten teacher said don't you mean a nurse, she did not get discouraged be her teacher and followed her moto. Her parents en couraged her to be whatever she wanted and they would help her make it true.

Mae Jemison gave it all she had because she tried to accomplish everything she wanted to do. I think she is a good example because she wanted to help people in other poor countries by joining the peace corps, becoming a doctor, and she did many more things and she still became a astronaut and a scientist like she always wanted to be. Mae's teachers and friends tried to discourage her. When Mae told her kindergarten teacher she wanted to become a scientist, her teacher said, "Don't you mean a nurse?" Mae never got discouraged by anyone though. Mae only got encouraged by her parents. If everyone I knew discouraged me like they discouraged Mae, I probably would have a hard time sticking to what I would want to be.

Mae Jemison is a great example becuas she realy did give all she had. She went to stanford university and got doctors degree. After that she joined the peace corps and was the youngest doctor in east Africa at the time. Once she was done in the peace corps she was picked by N.A.S.A. to go into space as a scientists. She studied for many years then finaly got to go to space.this is why I think Mae Jemison is the perfect person for this topic.

Mae has given it all she had by keep on going and by ignoring other people who think it is impossible and not letting them get to her. For example in kindergarden when her teacher asked what she wanted to be, she said scientist but her teacher said "don't you mean nurse" she didn't let that stop her from being a scientist. This story is great for this theme because she really showed that she gave it all she had. Mae loved to dance. Especially jazz dancing. Mae recived her Bachelor of Science degree at Stanford Universty. But she wasn't done. Then she went to Cornell University Medical Collage in New York. She traveled to Cuba to study medcine and she helped provide basic medical care in Kenya and at a refugee camp in Thailand. But she still continued to help. After traveling she became a doctor in Los Angeles. Then she took advanced engineering classes. Next she went to training to become an astronaut for NASA. After four years of waiting she got excepted. She helped study your body in a weigtless enviorment. Finally in 1992 she took flight into space and became the first African-American woman in space.

I think she did give it all she got because she first was learning dances and making up dances. After she made up and learned dances she she became a docter. Mae deiceded to be in the peace corps.I think that Mae Jemison is a good exaple of the "Give It All You've Got" theme because she working and working and working so then she volunteers to Nasa I think!?!

I think the theme relates to the story because Mae Jemison gives all she's got to become an excelled, and fantastic student in school so she got into Stanford University and served as president at Cornell Medical Student Executive Council. She also works very hard to become a Peace Corp, Doctor, and most importantly, first African American Woman to go into Space. Mae is a good person to talk about for the theme, "Give It All You Got" because she is famous of what she did just like Michelle Kwan and both of them are hard workers in what they do.

Mae Jemison has given all she got in this lesson, she did lots of things to help inspire young people to give it all they have. I think that she was a perfect example for the theme. For example when she told her teacher she wanted to be a scientist when she was older her teacher told her that it was not likely that a black girl could be a scientist but that did not stop her from pursuing her dreams. Also she kept moving along like after she went to Stanford University she kept going ahead and did all these amazing things that she allways wanted to do. When she was older she remembered her dream of going into space so in 1992 she was the first african-american girl in space. Mae never gave up so after going up into space she started her own company called The Jemison Group and it is still going on today.

She got in and be came a space scientist. When she was done being an astornot, she made her own co. So Mae did give it all she had.

I think she was a good example for give it all you got because she set gaol for her self and did things that were not her goals. In high school she was a dancer. after she gradutate form high school she went to Cornell and stanford. When she finished collage she went to the Peace Corps. When she got back she became a Docter in l.A. Then she went to nasa and became the first African-American women to be n space.

Mae Jemison always followed her dreams. She never gave up even after others discouraged her.She gave ut all she got to acomplish her dreams. For example, her kindergarden teacher discouraged her by telling her "don't you mean a nurse?" when Mae told her that she wanted to be a scientist. But Mae's parents encouraged her to follow her dreams. Mae followed her dreams and was successful in life by doing a bunch of acomplishments.

I think she gave it all she had beacause she was not limated by others limated imaginations. Even though other people discouraged her,she went to Stanford and Cornell universites and joined the peace corps. She later became the first african-american woman in space. But she wasn't done yet.she also owned her oun company.

  23. #29-First she sets up goals then, she finshes them but,she doesn't give up. She studied chemical engineering. Next she became a doctor.
She doesn't stop there. She accompished as a choriagrapher and she volenteered for the Peace Corps. After, she decided to become an astronaut.
After all her training, she made history because she was the first African American to go into space. When she was done being an astronaut, she still didn't give up. She made a company. Since she accomplished a lot of things,my opinion is that her biography should be in the theme:Give it All You Got.

I think that Mae Jemison is a great person for this theme because she gave it all she got and even when she got into Stanford University she still didn't give up instead she still kept on going.Mae Jemison has thirst of knowlege and she is a great role model and all those people who douted her for a long time are now amazed of how much she acoplished.I belive that every body should step into Mae's shoes and give it all you got.

  25. 25- I think Mae Jemison gave it all she got because she never gave up. Like when she was five years old and her teacher told her she couldn't be a scientest she never got discouraged. After she graduated from stanford (a very good school) She still wanted to do more. She then went to cornell and learned to be a doctor. Thats what I meen never giving up. Then she joined the peace corps and went to Kenya. Then after that she studied to become an astronaghuat and was the first african american woman to go up in space. As you can see she gave it all she had.

I think Mae Jemison gave it all she had and is a good example for this theme. She gave it all she had she was never discouraged even when people didn't believe in what she could do she had the most important support, her parents. Mae said she refused to let other people's limited imaginations stop her from following her dreams what she wanted to do with her life. SHe showed everybody with her accomplishments she started making goals when she was in Kindergarden and she achieved them, she went to Stanford University and got her bachlelor degree on sience, but didn't stop thier she decided to become a doctor so she went to Cornell in New York and recieved her doctor of medicine degree in 1981. She went to work in Los Angeles as a doctor, but she still wasn't done there she joined the organization of Peace Corps and traveled all around the world to help those who were less forturnate than her, but stilll she kapot going and had not forgotten her dream, so she tried to become an astronaut.she became a mission specialist astronaut and finally on September 12,1992 Space shuttle endeavour launched and finally she accomplished her drem since kindergarden she was the first african american woman in space all of the hard work paid off. So I think she is a great example for give it all you got because she gave it all she had and accomplished her dream.

Mae jemison was an amazing example of someone who
keeps reaching for their goals. She received no encouragement from people such as her teachers, yet she still went on to go to stanford university, become a scientist and an astronaut,
and start a buisness. Yes she gave every thing she had to the many things she did and was never stoped by anything. So yes she was an amazing person.

Mae Jemison also loved to dance. In 1973 Mae graduated from Chicago's Morgan Park high school, Where she was an honor - roll student and excelled in science and math. Mae entered Standford University in California. At standford she specialized in african afro american studies and chemical engineering.

I think Mae gave it her all or she wouldn't of been a doctor, scientist, an astronaut or wouldn't of started her own business and not to mention she went to various ivy league schools, She is the perfect role-matel for the theme give it your all.
