And Then What Happened, Paul Revere?

One of the goals we had as a class was to identify the Author's Viewpoint about Paul Revere. What feelings or viewpoint do you believe Jean Fritz has about Paul? Does she think he was an important person who did many things or does she give the reader a sense that Paul was not very important?
What words or sentences from the biography suggest the author's view about Paul Revere? Use at least one word or sentence as an example from the story to support your answer.

Remember to use your Atomic Number and check your spelling and grammar.

Jean Fritz really ephsized that Paul Revere was important and a really interesting man. One example she gives us for us to understand was, he was a very important express rider and secret agent. He spread the news like if the English were coming or when they dumped the tea into the ocean. She also gives us an idea that he did many jobs like, being a dentist, a silversmith, and an engraver. Those are just some examples of jobs that she told us he did. I think she really considerded Paul Revere as an interesting man.

I think Jean Fritz made Paul sound like one of the most important people in the story because she states everything he did in the war. one of the senteces is,"But not Paul Revere. The autor makes it sound like he saved the day. That is my opinion.

I think that Jean Fritz thought that Paul Revere was an inportant person because why else she would she study his life to write a book if she didn't think that? She also wrote in the story that " All his life he found there was more to do, more to see, more to hear, more to say, more places to go, and more to learn then there were hours in a day." and ot me that sounds like a compliment because that shows that he always wanted to try new things and never stopped. I think that the reason that she wrote that book was because she admired what kind of a person he was.

I think that Jean Fritz thought that he was an important man. In the story she mentioned many of the big things that he did. In the story she told us that he was being chased by two English soldiers but he out ran one and the other got stuck in mud. Also I thought she made the point that he was very busy because she named a lot of the things he did as a job and he did a lot!

  6. #6:I think Jean Fritz really showed us how important Paul Revere was and I think she thought Paul was brave and I think she really thought Paul did alought of jobs like dentist, silversmith, and an engraver. I think Jean liked what Paul did when he alarmed the people that "the british are coming".

The Author's Viewpoint about Paul Revere is that she likes him a lot or she would not like to write about him. I like him for what he did for all the people. He could have just kept it to him self and all the people would die.He was not self centerd and he helped all the people.

I think that Jean thought Paul was a very important person in history and thought he was a very good topic to write about. I also think that she likes Paul Revere because how she discribes he and she expresses her fellings. And that is my opinion about Jean.

I think that Jean Fritz's viewpoint about Paul is that he is a very important person, because she says good things about Paul in the story. I think Jean was telling us in the story that Paul was important, because she never said bad things about Paul, and she tried to make the story sound like Paul could fix his problems, like when he forgot his spurs, he put a note on his dog's collar and sent the dog home. The dog soon came back with spurs on his collar. I can also tell that Jean thinks Paul is important because she tells the reader that Paul would tell everyone about his Big Ride, and that shows that Paul was successful.

  10. I think jean fritz thinks paul had an interesting life with all of his jobs like, a dentist,a silversmith, an express rider, a secret agent, a bell ringer and a father of 11 children.I think that jean fritz thinks that paul revere had an interesting life.

  11. 11-I think the author did a great job talking about the ethical and non-ethical facts about Paul Revere. Jean Fritz (author) expressed her feelings about Paul Revere, because some of the details in her story, tell her opinion about Paul. Most likely, Jean thinks Paul Revere was a great man for going to Lexington, and alerting the authorities. Jean feels Paul Revere did his fair share of "justice" in his life. Although he did not fight in the revolution, he did an amazing job. His revelance to the war is large because without him the English would've won.

I think that Jean thought Paul Revere was an important man because he did some brave things like dumping the tea in the ocean, being the fastest express rider, being in the sons of liberty club, being a secret agent, and telling the jobs he had like an engraver, gold and silversmith, and a dentist. She also gives a sense that he was a very important man, like I said earlier. The phrase " but not Paul Revere." make me think that Jean thinks that she wrote about a good and interesting topic. i can see that she believes that history is fun to learn about when she does a great job at writing a story. She makes it fun to learn about Paul Revere and the other story she wrote about history. So, my big idea is that I think she did a wonderful job.

Jean's view point on Paul Revere was that she just maybe did research on him ( Paul) and thought he was a exciting person so she wrote about him (Paul). Jean does think Paul is important because she maybe wouldn’t write about Paul Revere ,and would write about someone else. Well in the biography Jean tolled a short version on Paul Revere ( their might be more ) and that means her view on Paul was that she doesn’t what her to know ,but she wants to share Paul with children so she wrote a story about Paul Revere. Thank You, Thank You no sigs.

In the book And Then What Happened Paul Revere one of Pauls jobs was an express rider. An express rider has two jobs specificly. One of the jobs was that he had to go out and go to different states and tell important news or advertizements. There were so many news stories back then so that was a little difficult. Another job of an express rider was that he had to ride around and warn people that there was a war going on. I think the author, Jean Fritz thought that Paul was a verry important person because in the book it says that pauls job was very dificult and was important. Another thing the book says was "But not Paul Revere."

I think Jean Fritz thought that Paul Revere was a very important person in history. She wrote alot of details in the biography talking about his jobs, such as being a silversmith and goldsmith. Jean included one of the more important jobs like telling the town that the British are coming! Another thing is, when she decided to write the story, she probably wouldn't tell the reader a bunch of negative things about him. Jean really concidered Paul as a very significant person in history.

I think that Jean Fritz liked Pual because she tells how he was a good person. Also how he was always telling people to get ready because a war could be on the way. Pual was a busy man but he wasn'tat work all the time.

I think that she thinks Paul did good thing because she told us Paul jobs and how he was the number one express rider. Some of his jobs were being a silver simth, denist, and engeaver. She also said that he fixes teeth in such a manner that they are not only ornament, but of real use in speaking and eating. She also said he was one the busess in Bosten.

I think the author likes pual revere becuase he is the main character of the story and its his biography. She had to have liked him to study all of that then make a biography on him. If she liked someone else better she would have done a biography on them.On page 236 it said he was a very busy man and gives hints she is impressed by him through out the story.

  22. #27..... I think Jean Fritz thought Paul Revere was and did a lot of important things in his life. Jean Fritz gave us some clues about that because she mentioned that he found that there was new things to hear, new things to see, new things to do, new places to go, more to make, and more to learn then there were hours in a day. Jean also mentioned that Paul good also handle a lot of jobs. Jean said he was a gold and silversmith, a church bell ringer, an engraver, a furniture maker,a dentist, an express rider, and that is pretty inpressive. I also thought that when Jean told us that Paul rode 63 miles a day she probably thought that that was important and hard to do. Paul was really busy all the time and because he got rid of taxes on tea, got John Handcock's special papers, and warn people that the British were coming, I think Jean Fritz thinks Paul Revere was a really important man.

  23. #29-Jean Fritz was talking mostly about the important things that Paul did like when he was a leader of the Sons of Liberty so prid that probaly she has good feelings about Paul in the book she wrote. In the first page, the author said that he was the busiest person in Boston. The word busiest is a word to use in a opinion. The sentence is an opinion.

I think that that the author was trying to give us the sense that he was an important part in the Revolutionary war. I think she has that feeling because first of all she wrote a story of Paul Revere which means that he was famous and important for what he did because if the author didn't care about Paul Revere why would she write a story about him. Second of all I think the author think that he is important because when they dumped the tea Paul Revere just didn't go home like the other guys no he knew someone had to go to New York and Philadelphia to spread the news, and he knew it had to be him. I think that what the author is trying to tell us he was a brave man he took chances and risks for his country and that's why he was an important person forthe american revolution in my opinion.

I think that she has a positive feeling about Paul Revere because she typed "Paul did not pay attention who was firing or who fired first."but how did she know that he wasn't distacted. Mabey because she is giving Paul an positive opinion.

  28. #22 She also gives us an idea that he did many jobs like, being a dentist, a silversmith, and an engraver. The jobs that she told us he did. I think the auther of then what happens, paul revere? she though he was intresting because she chose to write a book about him it's not like anyone forced her to write this book. In the end of the story she listed all the stuff he made stuff like soap, sand paper, playing cards, and pencils excetra.

I think Miss Jean Fritz made Paul Revere a very funny and a very interesting character.I also belive that she likes and dislikes this character in some ways. For example, he is remembered as a traitor but a traitor who has helped people in life. She also puts some false info in her story. She says that he ran to the church, but did he walk instead? At the end she made a great story.
